Özet

Various types of diseases and epidemics have been emerging day by day and there have been great demand on using health information technologies in disease prediction and treatment, rehabilitation of diseases, clinical decision making, and management of the health services, recently. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a popular technique and refers a term with usage of the behaviour of intelligence of computers model with minimum intervention of the experts. AI has been used in a variety of fields including medicine such as analyzing huge amount of medical data including whole genome sequencing, clinical images, and various types of medical records belonging to patients. Numerous applications of AI are also already in use in the healthcare sector, including online appointment scheduling, discovering new drugs for health services management and treatments of patient’s, online registrations at hospitals, digitalization of medical information, calls to follow-up appointments, and notifications of children’s and pregnant women’s immunization deadlines, drug dosage algorithms, and warnings about side effects before prescribing multidrug combinations Thus, the usage of AI applications in the health services and managements is of great importance due to the significant increase in workload and insufficient number of health professionals. In this chapter, we focus opportunities and challenges of using AI application health technology and investigate recent advances in AI-based applications and their impact on the healthcare industry. We review and discuss AI medical techniques in the literature. An overview of various AI applications that are either now in use or being developed is provided. We consider that this study will contribute to develop AI based studies in health service management by providing a multilevel overview of medical AI health.
