Özet

In this study, which was conducted in different dimensionless nozzle gaps (2,0≤Gj/Dj≤6,0) and turbulent flow conditions (16250≤Re≤32500) using impinging air jets, the effects of V-shaped fins at different angles (90°≤θ≤270°) placed on a smooth surface have been investigated numerically. Numerical analyzes have been performed by Ansys Fluent 19.2 software and SST k-ω turbulence model has been used in the analysis. The data obtained from the analyzes results have been examined in detail in terms of local and average Nusselt number, performance evaluation criteria (PEC) and velocity profiles. The results have shown that the highest average Nusselt numbers were achieved at the angle of θ=180° finned surface. Additionally, the highest average Nusselt numbers were reached at the lowest dimensionless nozzle gap value. Moreover, amongst the examined parameters, the highest increment in thermal performance was achieved at Re=16250 with Gj/Dj=4,0 on θ=180° finned surface. As a result, it has been determined that the fins, which are designed at an appropriate angle and placed on the surface, will increase the heat transfer of the surface.
