Özet
Smart cities are witnessing rapid development with the introduction of modern technologies such as digital twins which enable various systems to carry out their tasks in a distinguished manner. This twinning enhances the process of efficient decision-making by cooperating with smart, predictive, and optimized systems through real-time synchronization and cooperation with physical devices. The Internet of Digital Twins (IoDTs) is a key extension of this technology, connecting physical and virtual entities to enable data collection, sharing, and processing in a dynamic, collaborative system. However the integration of smart home devices as part of smart cities into the IoDT faces several challenges, the most important of which is the security and privacy of information during the exchange process between the Internet of Things (IoT) and digital twins. The classical security schemes currently used in information technology systems are not sufficient to address the complexities of the IoDT and the information-centric approach. This chapter examines digital twin-based smart home systems, focusing on system architecture, enabling technologies, and security and privacy considerations. Additionally this chapter categorizes the security and privacy threats in smart homes and digital twins, identifies critical research challenges, and evaluates currently used defense methods. Finally it discusses emerging trends and future research directions to ensure the safe and effective widespread deployment of digital twin-based smart home technology.
