All rights reserved.Objective: The aim of the study is evaluating preventive health care services in Community Health Centers (CHC) according to the opinions of head officer doctors of CHC all over Turkey. Material and Method: This descriptive study was performed between April-June 2014 and was planned to conduct among all of CHC’ head officer doctors all over Turkey. The study sample was not selected and it was planned to reach all 978 CHC’ head officer doctors all over Turkey. The study data were collected by a questionnaire prepared by the researchers and questionnaire was applied to CHC’ head officer doctors via internet. Results: The study was performed with 611 CHC’ head officer doctors from 978. Our response rate was 62.5%. Of 66.6% CHC’ head officer doctors who were participated to the study were men, 81.3% of them were worked in county towns and 89.2% of them were general practitioners. When the preventive health care services were evaluated in some issues as content of services, presentation, health workforce and technical infrastructure, basing to districts, a significant difference were found between districts in reproductive health care, health promotion services and public life and school health care services. Conclusion: Preventive health care services which are declared in directive are evaluated inadequate by CHC’ head officer doctors throughout Turkey. Necessary regulations should be made for constitution and authorization of CHC according to preventive health care services.
