He completed his undergraduate (1995-1999) and master's degree (1999-2002) studies at Inonu University and his doctorate (2006-2010) studies at Firat University sociology departments. He worked on the Elazıg Poverty Map Project (researcher), Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education Joint Project (Monitoring Expert) and Diyarbakır Social Structure Research (researcher).

He worked as an editor in academic journals such as Mukaddime, Idealkent, City and Medeniyet. He organized studies such as Ethical Issues in Social Sciences (2018), History of Construction and Urbanization from Tanzimat to the Present Day (2022), City, Society and Identity (2023) and brought them to the literature.

He has many academic studies in the fields of religion, family, consumption and urban sociology.

He is married and has three children.
