Biography
Kenan OLGUN, completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature, Department of History. He completed his master's degree at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences with the thesis titled "1912 Parliamentary Assembly and Its Activities in Terms of Democracy History" and his doctorate degree with the thesis titled "1908-1912 Ottoman Parliamentary Assembly's Activities and Its Place in Our History of Democracy". After his undergraduate education, he worked as a teacher and administrator in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education.
Kenan OLGUN, who started his academic life at Sakarya University, continued his studies at Istanbul University, Sakarya University and Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Between 2011 and 2014, he worked as Scientific Assistant and Scientific Research Coordinator at the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History, Atatürk Research Center. He served as a guest lecturer at Bochum Ruhr University, Germany, with a Council of Higher Education scholarship in 2012. He took part in many projects related to modern times and the history of the Republic of Turkey.
Kenan OLGUN, who has authored 5 books and nearly 100 national and international articles, papers and chapters on the history of modern times and the Republic, currently works as a faculty member at Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of History of the Republic of Turkey.
