Prof. HALİL KARA

Dr. Halil KARA graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine with a bachelor's degree in 1997. Between 1997-2001, he worked as a doctor in Erzincan Refahiye State Hospital and Ankara Mamak Kayaş Health Centre affiliated to the Ministry of Health. He completed his PhD programme in medical pharmacology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2011. Between 2011-2013, he was a member of the ethics committee at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Clinical Research Ethics Committee and served as the chairman of the ethics committee between 2013-2023. Between 2018-2023, he worked as the Vice Director of Dr.Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital Clinic Phase 1 Centre.

He started to work as an Assistant Professor at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Medicine in 2013 and continued this duty until 2018. In 2018, he began working as an Associate Professor at the same university, a position he held until 2023. Since 2023, he has been working as a Professor at the same university. Dr KARA's research interests include pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, medical pharmacology and toxicology. He has numerous publications in journals indexed in SCI, SSCI and AHCI and has presented at various national and international conferences.
