Biography

Prof. Dr. Yüksel Akay Ünvan is an academic specializing in finance and banking, with research focusing on financial markets. He is a Professor in the Department of Banking and Finance at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. He received his B.S. degree in Statistics from Middle East Technical University, his M.S. degree in Statistics from Gazi University, and his Ph.D. in Statistics from Hacettepe University. He also completed the Executive MBA program at Bilkent University.

In addition to his academic career, he has significant professional experience in the banking sector. During his tenure at Turkish Eximbank, he served as a project manager in projects related to the development of banking information systems and managed approximately 20 institutional banking projects.

His research interests focus on finance and banking, financial markets, and investment decision processes. He has published international academic studies in SSCI, SCI and Scopus indexed journals on topics such as financial market analysis, the impact of cryptocurrencies on financial systems, and financial performance analysis.

His research particularly focuses on the analysis of financial markets and the evaluation of investment decision processes using analytical approaches in finance.
