Abstract:

In this study, topics of the theological (kalām) subjects that were discussed in Tanrı Buyruğu (God's Command), Translation and Exegesis of the Noble Qur'ān of Ömer Rıza Doğrul (d. 1952) who is known for his writings and publications in the religious and literary subjects, have been studied. The study consists of the introduction and two chapters. In the introduction, the methodological framework of the research is stated. In the first chapter, Ömer Rıza Doğrul's life and scholastic personality and in the second chapter, his knowledge and understanding of existence; in the third chapter, his opinions about the existence, unity and attributes of Allah; his opinions about the belief; his opinions about the prophets, books and angels; his comments about the life of the hereafter; his approach to the subject of God's decree and fate (qadā and qadar), and his views on state administration have been studied. As a result of this research, Doğrul's opinions which participated in the traditional views defended by the Ahl al-Sunna sect and the opinions that were not participated in them were identified.
