Abstract:
In this study, Kültigin, Bilge Kağan, Tonyukuk inscriptions belonging to Köktürks from Old Turkic period texts; the stories of Altun Yaruk, Sekiz Yükmek, Huastuanift, Prince Kalyanamkara ve Papamkara belonging to the Uighurs; the Old Turkic Poetry, Turkishche Turfan Text/Berliner Text XIII from the studies on the Uighurs period; Kutadgu Bilig, Dîvânu Lugâti't-Türk, Atabetü'l-Hakâyık belonging to the Karakhanids; and the Qur'an Translations were scanned to determine the word köñül. In the first part of the study, information about the Old Turkic period, the works included in the scope of the study, the concept and etymology of the heart are given. In the second part of the study, information about semantics, context, concept and concept area, meaning and meaning area, basic meaning and connotation, conceptualization and collocation are given. The third part of the study is the review part. In this section, the word "köñül" in Old Turkic texts is examined in terms of lexical collocation and evaluated in terms of meaning. In addition, this section includes the use of the word köñül as a verb in Old Turkic texts, its use as an adverb and its stand-alone use. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the collocations of the word köñül by determining which words are associated with the word köñül in the Old Turkic period texts.
